Family dinner helps kids' asthma
Research shows that giving kids a supportive environment and reducing stress will decrease asthma symptoms and exacerbations.
Specifically, the research looked at children who did and did not have family dinners where they were engaged in supportive conversation with their parents and not watching TV or playing video games. Those children engaged by their parents had dramatic improvement in their asthma.
Importantly, the family dinners lasted an average of only 18 minutes. That's all it takes to help your kids' asthma!
